Laundry Manager

Education / Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline

Skills Required

• Knowledge of fabric cleaning methods, laundry techniques, and laundry equipment

• Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills

Experience Required

• Minimum 7 years in laundry service. Supervisory experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep guest laundry and dry cleaning at a high standard.
• Make sure Rooms and F&B linen comes back clean, undamaged, and well pressed, and that staff uniforms are well kept.
• Lead the laundry team, including rosters, training, cross-training, performance reviews and progress records.
• Hold department meetings and represent laundry in the department heads meeting.
• Keep the laundry area, machinery, floors, and ceiling clean and safe. Store chemicals securely with access for authorized staff only.
• Check that equipment works properly, train staff to use it, and arrange regular maintenance with the Engineering Department.
• Prepare the budget and next year's profit plan, control costs through monthly inventories, and track energy, water, and chemical use.
• Handle department admin, report costs to Accounting, follow up on guest claims with hotel executives, and make sure guests are charged correctly.

Good to Know

This is a management role in the Rooms division, so expect a mix of hands-on operations, team supervision, and budget work. A CV that clearly shows your supervisory years in laundry will help.
