GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Dubai needs a Primary Computing Teacher from January 2027. You will teach Computing across the Primary phase and help students learn programming, digital skills and safe use of technology.

Skills Required

• Strong Computing subject knowledge
• Good understanding of how the Computing curriculum builds from year to year
• Ability to use assessment and student data to plan learning
• Excellent communication skills for working with colleagues, students and parents
• Interest in teaching computational thinking, programming and digital literacy

Experience Required

Over 2 years of teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Help develop and review the Primary Computing curriculum, in line with the National Curriculum for England
• Deliver high-quality Computing lessons and share good practice with colleagues
• Bring age-appropriate AI, robotics and new technologies into lessons
• Teach students about online safety and responsible use of technology
• Use assessment results to track progress and give each student the right level of challenge
• Support workshops and enrichment activities in other phases of the school, where needed
• Take part in extracurricular activities and school community events
• Support student safeguarding and wellbeing, and keep developing your own teaching skills
