Grant Thornton UAE needs a Senior Associate for its Financial Reporting Advisory Services team in Dubai. You will help plan and complete audits, give accounting advice, and guide junior team members. The team sits within the firm's Assurance service line.

Education / Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification

Skills Required

• Solid understanding of IFRS and how to apply accounting standards in practice
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office
• Strong written and spoken English
• Arabic is an advantage
• Willing to work extra hours when needed and travel to client sites

Experience Required

3+ years of experience in Accounting Advisory at a top international consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior colleagues on financial accounting engagements
• Lead the preparation of work papers and drafts
• Lead audit planning, with a focus on key financial reporting risks
• Prepare and review financial statements to make sure they follow standards such as IFRS and US GAAP
• Keep up with new accounting standards and advise clients on how they affect reporting
• Support accounting work for new standards, entity restructuring, and conversions
• Supervise junior team members and give clients hands-on support
